Agreement Regarding Repair Requests
When you apply for repair to COTODAMA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”), you are deemed to have agreed to the following items.
- If the customer does not apply for repair within 10 days after COTODAMA provides a repair price estimate, the repair will be treated as a cancellation.
- We will manage your personal information in a legal and appropriate manner in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law.
- The Company may outsource all or part of the repair work to a partner company selected by the Company.
- We may outsource all or part of the repair work to a subcontractor selected by the company. The personal information provided by the customer will be used for repair work.
- The personal information provided by the customer may be disclosed or provided to a subcontractor within the scope of the purpose of use.
- In the event that a customer does not provide the prescribed personal information, we may not be able to accept the request for repair.
- In the event that the actual repair cost is significantly different from the estimated cost, the estimated cost will be re-presented and the repair will be carried out after the customer’s re-approval.
- In the event that you do not receive the requested or completed repair product (hereinafter referred to as the “Subject Product”) after six (6) months have passed since you received the Subject Product, even though we have notified you again of the return date of the Subject Product (hereinafter referred to as the “Return Date”), you shall be deemed to have received the Subject Product. (hereinafter referred to as “Subject Product”) after six (6) months from the date of receipt of the Subject Product (including cases where the Company is unable to contact the Customer). If you do not receive the requested or completed repair product (hereinafter referred to as the “Subject Product”) in a timely manner (including cases in which you cannot be contacted), you shall be deemed to have abandoned your ownership of the Subject Product and the Company may dispose of the Subject Product at your expense.
- Please note that the parts replaced during repair will not be returned.
- If the same problem occurs at the same location after repair, and we determine that repair is necessary, we will repair the product again free of charge within three months from the date of repair. In this case, please attach the previous repair report to your request for re-repair.
- In no event, except in cases of intentional or grossly negligent repair of the subject equipment, shall the Company be liable for damages arising from reasons not attributable to the Company, damages arising from special circumstances with or without foresight on the part of the Company, lost profits, consequential damages, damages based on liability made by a third party to the customer, damage to the operating system, data or other software, alteration or disappearance of the software, or any other damages. The Company shall not be liable for any damage, alteration or disappearance of the operating system, data or other software. The Company shall not be liable for any damages caused by a third party to the Customer, including, but not limited to, damage to, alteration of, or disappearance of the OS, data, or other software.
- The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage to the equipment.
For repair within the warranty period
- The following is the general flow of the repair service.
- Apply for repair → Send the repaired product → Perform repair → Return the product to the customer
- Repair cost within the warranty period
- If the product malfunctions during the warranty period and you wish to have it repaired free of charge, please present the product, the warranty card, and documents showing the place of purchase and the date of purchase to the dealer where you purchased the product or to our support. When you send the product, please pay the shipping cost. If the product is returned to us, we will bear the shipping costs.
In the event of a chargeable repair outside the warranty period
- The general flow of the repair service
- Application for repair → Sending of the repaired product → Diagnosis of the problem → Estimation of the repair cost → Decision to carry out repair → Carrying out repair → Returning the product to the customer
- Estimated repair cost and fee structure
- The repair cost will be based on the repair cost, inspection cost, and transportation cost. Please note that even if the repair cost estimate does not lead to repair, the inspection cost and the actual transportation cost will be incurred.
Information on repair of discontinued products
Please note that service is limited due to the end of supply of repair parts.
